The American Beverage Foundation for a Healthy America (Foundation) is dedicated to strengthening communities from coast to coast to create positive change for our nation. As a unified industry, and in partnership with key stakeholders, including elected officials and local community organizations, we know we can make a real difference. Since the Foundation’s inception, we’ve provided millions of dollars in grants directly to organizations and cities that are making a real impact in the lives of real people.
The Foundation seeks to make a significant contribution to the health of local communities by providing grants to support organizations that work to advance both the physical health of their citizens and the environmental health of their communities.
In partnership with the U.S. Conference of Mayors since 2012, the Foundation has provided funding to mayors in more than 60 cities across the country and their innovative local programs that aim to enhance the environmental health and/or well-being of their citizens and communities as a whole.
Established in 2023 in partnership with the African American Mayors Association, winning mayors and their state-of-the-art programs receive funding that help address health disparities in their cities.
The Foundation’s longstanding matching grant program continues to work in partnership with state beverage associations and local bottlers to support a variety of community organizations working to advance the physical and environmental health of their local communities. To date, the Foundation has supported more than 110 grants across nearly 40 states.
“The people who make up the American beverage industry live and work in your cities and towns, and we share the goal of keeping our communities healthy and strong.”
